The Luck Meter provides a way for players to "buy" improved rolls when they need them, essentially "getting lucky". There are only 6 slots for accumulating Luck points, which is the maximum. Players can use up Luck Points to alter rolls in their favor in one of two ways:

  • increasing the number on one dice by the number of Luck Points spent
  • distributing the spent Luck Points over multiple dice

Example Luck Point Spends

  • A player attempts to use their Stealth skill to sneak past two guards, but the dice roll did not have enough successes to perform the desire action. The player has 3 Luck Points accrued. They needed to roll 5 dice under a 6, but one of the dice was an 8. The player can spend 2 Luck to take that 8 down to a 6.
  • In the same scenario, if the player had 1 dice that was an 8 and 1 dice that was a 7, the player can spend all 3 Luck Points to get both dice down to the 6 they need to succeed.

Gamemaster Tips

Luck Points are given out by the Gamemaster whenever bad things happen to the Player Characters. Either they failed a roll miserably or they took a huge amount of damage. Give them a Luck Point to spend later. This is essentially simulating fate coming back around whenever they experience bad luck.
